React Native / Mobile Engineer

A ride-sharing software startup is in need of a React Native Engineer to revamp the mobile apps on their live platform.  What began as a pilot run last fall, their product is now live in 80 New Jersey towns.  Their product is a proven concept, and easily adoptable across the country. Their app will be used by parents to schedule rides home for their children for after school activities, and the drivers are the local town school bus drivers, who are thoroughly vetted through the public school districts.     The app will have a lot of different functionalities built for the parents as well as the school bus drivers.  For the parents, they're creating all the web features that you normally see on ride sharing apps; booking, driver information, passenger tracking, and push notifications.  And for the drivers, they're building tracking and communication features. In the role, you'll lead the development team to design, build and maintain their mobile apps, and integrate the app into their backend systems. Must Have Experience: 5+ years of web experience in a production environment 3+ years of experience with mobile development React Native Minimum of 1 React Native mobile app published in the app store Bonus Points: Bachelor's or advanced degrees in computer science or related fields Good understanding of UI/UX design Experience with Javascript frameworks such as React.js, Angular.js, Vue.js and Meteor.js Backend experience with Node.js, Express.js, AWS, and MongoDB Experience in developing ride sharing products (e.g. Uber/Lyft) Solid understanding of No-SQL database (e.g. MongoDB) Experience Google Maps API Experience with mobile development using one of the following frameworks: Cordova, Xamarin, React-Native, NativeScript, Object-C/Swift(iOS), Java(Android).
Salary Range: $120K - $160K

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
