Boutique Financial Services company is looking for Senior Accountant to join their technical accounting team. The team is responsible for executing the company's financial accounting processes by applying federal and industry regulations and standards and supporting the accurate reconciliation and maintenance of the organization's financial statements and reports. The team's responsibilities include:
Perform accounting activities including review and analysis of financial records to ensure accurate application of industry standards.
Conducts in-depth analysis to identify, isolate and resolve discrepancies, and contributes to quality control and process improvement.
Participates in process and automated improvement initiatives.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Applies a thorough understanding of and experience with financial accounting and management, including techniques used in analyzing and reporting financial information
Prepares and reviews internal and external reports, schedules and statements
Identifies gaps in financial controls, develops and presents recommendations for alternative/ corrective action
Leads small projects or supports project groups across departmental lines by applying accounting knowledge to development or enhancement initiatives for new systems and automated processes
Mentors and guides Accountant
Maintains relationships with external contacts and all levels of management and staff; acts as resource for the resolution of complex problems
Qualifications
3-5 years experience in public accounting at the Big 4 or another well recognized CPA firm with a focus in AuditEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
