JOB OPPORTUNITY We are currently seeking a senior QA automation engineer on our Development team in our Alpharetta, GA location. In this role you will work in an agile environment delivering software solutions utilized by internal and external customers. In this role, will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. The candidate should have a passion for Testing and possess deep Manual & Automation Testing skills. As a Specialist QA, you will be responsible for Understanding the Requirements, creating test scenarios & test cases, executing the test cases, and perform E2E integration Tests working within this highly visible-client focused web services application. Testing efforts will also include covering all development/testing environments, client implementations, as well as support for the production Environment. To ensure success as a QA automation engineer, you should have advanced programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent project management skills. This position will require close collaboration with the Product Team, Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects, Developers, and other Portfolio teams. A successful candidate will have a motivation to achieve team results, the ability to learn new technologies, and grow to understand the financial services industry. With limited direction, the successful candidate will:
o Implement proven competencies in Automated testing o Understand functional requirements and Design, develop, and implement comprehensive QA test plans and test cases across Web Services/Web/ Mobile (iOS/Android/Mobile Web) applications. o perform Software Test Lifecycle including Test Planning, Test Cases Design, Test Data Setup, Defect Management, Test log, Test results, Test Traceability Matrix o Analyze Test Requirements specifications and give inputs to Test plan and Strategy o Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered during testing o Be able to work in a scrum team as an individual contributor and Manage the execution of testing projects o implement Automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, SOAPUI, Postman o Help drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement with an emphasis on test automation, technical curiosity, and data-driven decision making o Perform security, usability, compatibility & accessibility testing o identify, track, and mitigate risks to the product o Perform test execution for multiple software products and releases. o Report and track defects in a timely manner during test execution. o Perform various types of testing like sanity testing, regression testing, and browser compatibility testing as required. Skills Required o 6-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance in the areas of Web applications and Web Services using Manual and Automation testing techniques. o Well versed in Automated testing techniques and methodologies o Knowledge of programming languages like Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS o Experience with Automation Tool like Selenium RC, Web driver and Cucumber o Exposure to Test Management and defect tracking tools o Experience writing Database queries. o Strong verbal, written communication, analytic and problem-solving skills o Experience in complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Bug Life Cycle o Proficient in Requirements, Analysis, Documentation of Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, Bug Tracking, and Execution of projects with Manual and Automated Testing Tools o Expertise in writing Test strategy, Test Plan Preparation and Implementation, Test Case Design, Test Tool usage, Test execution, Defect Management and Defect Tracking. Non-technical capabilities:
o Must have interpersonal and relationship skills necessary to work with an integrated yet geographically dispersed team of customers, leaders, interface designers, product managers, developers, implementation specialists and quality engineers. o Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines o Ability to work efficiently and productively without direction or guidance o Capable of exercising extreme discretion and independent judgment o Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a high level of confidence Skills Desired o Experience in testing mobile applications o Experience working on Continuous Integration Tools like Jenkins. o Working experience with Build and Configuration Tools o Extensively worked on various Testing types such as Integration, System, Functional, Regression, Sanity, Smoke, User-interface (GUI), Data base and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing o knowledge of No-SQL data bases like Mongo DB and Cassandra o Good knowledge on cloud technologies like AWS, Azure o Good analytical and communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform as part of a team.
